Gabriella Grinwald-Alves is a documentary filmmaker, screenwriter and musician from New Jersey. Her short documentary film, Vignette, has been screened at Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival and Ethnografilm Festival in Paris. She began the Vignette Collective after many discussions with fellow artists who felt lost or were not sure how to get where they needed to be for their projects. As many of us know, the current political moment is a challenging one, to say the least. The Collective was an effort towards workshopping and aiding artists to create community in a time when art is constantly in danger of being erased.
